Real Steel is a decent movie with some decent acting, but not a whole lot of new premises or outcomes.
The main plot is Charlie Kenton (Hugh Jackman) is a former boxer who now works in the robot boxing game, using bad bot after bad bot. He is really down on his luck until he gets reunited with his son, the means of which are not the most fatherly, and they discover a small sparring bot in the junkyard.
The rest of the movie is pretty predictable, and the lines are the same as every other drama to come before it. Two things about this movie I really liked; Number 1, the action of the boxing scenes, which were truly spectacular (coming from a die-hard Rocky fan) with the CGI and the robots just beating the snot out of each other. Number 2 is Hugh Jackman's acting. The only really good acting in the whole film, and his acting really saved the movie for me. Other than those two things, the music at the end is pretty good as well.
Would I recommend it to my friends? Yes, but I would advise them to wait and order it on the on demand service instead of spending the extra money at the theater, because this movie might not be for everyone.
Overall, decent.

Hugh is great as always, but Charlie, the character annoys me... just as the kid...
